How this number is calculated

What we do

1.Every five minutes we record StonkFun's lifetime NEAR payout total for NEARKAT.
2.Subtracting the reading from 24 hours ago gives what holders actually received in that window.
3.Divide by the estimated eligible NEARKAT supply to get NEAR per token.
4.Multiply by your balance, then convert to USD at the current NEAR price.

What we deliberately don't do

We never estimate rewards as 24h volume × 3%. The 3% is the transfer tax that feeds the mechanism — not a yield, and not what lands in holder wallets. Which transfers incur the fee, conversion execution, payout timing, thresholds and changing holder balances all sit between that number and reality.

So the calculator uses observed distributions instead. When activity surges or dies down, the number moves with it.
